I read it as that Chris Thompson’s moms house has a basement (as moms’ houses do), but that below that basement, there is an additional sub-basement. So it takes the “some nerd in a basement “ diss and amplifies it.

Jeanne d’Arc on the PSP is a simplified, easier type of this game. But I loved how weird it was, how it was based on Joan of Arc, and OMG why did they include Gilles de Rais in it?? Did nobody Wikipedia him??

In-game ads can be done right (racing games are maybe the best example), and they can be done poorly.
