Checking fluids is pretty easy. If you look at the fluid reservoir, you will usually see two markings, min and max. As long as the fluid levels are within those lines it is usually good. Most fluids when they are new will have a slight color to them and be somewhat clear. For example, my transmission and power

This whole list sounds a bit off to me. I've seen this floating around mentioned on other sites and in FB and Twitter the last couple of weeks. I have a Tribeca, and it has never been ticketed. I guess I'm among the 60 percent that hasn't been ticketed in one. Subaru only made like a thousand a year of those. And I

Agreed. I was surprised to see the Tribeca on there, Subaru only sold like a thousand of them a year. Hard to believe those have received more tickets than Civic or Carola. And I can't even remember the last time I saw a G8.

I've purchased pc parts from many different sites, some being completely obscure and not well known. The first PC I built I think I ordered parts from about 5 different places, getting the parts from the cheapest source with the cheapest shipping. The last few computers I've built were all ordered from Newegg. Newegg

I posted this last week, but it is just too good not to repost. You mean I shouldn't drive on completely bald tires almost ready to explode? But why?

Update: NOW it says October 16th! Weird, about an hour ago when I originally posted that it was totally different. I wonder if the page isn't refreshing for some people initially. Even though it probably wasn't cached locally since I hadn't gone to it before. Must have been a deal they had previously as well.

Mine also says September 19th.

From an all around traction standpoint, non-studded are the way to go. You get better snow traction and wet traction, where studded only really shines on ice. You actually loose a bit of traction with studs since there is less surface area in contact with pavement. Good luck this winter! My advise is find an empty

Studded tires aren't legal everywhere, so I'd check with your state DOT to make sure it is legal. We can't run studded here in WI. Usually just getting a decent set of dedicated snow tires is vastly improved to all seasons. With that said, if you have fairly new all seasons even, I've never had a problem plowing

Also don't be this guy. No lie I took that picture last week, saw him parked at my wife's parent's apartment complex. Accident waiting to happen.

This is why I routinely check my tires. Just pulled this guy out last week and patched it easily.

This is a pretty good graphic, and it helps to show what all the numbers on a tire represent. There are a couple things I'd like to add though.

I voted for Newegg because I've spent literally thousands of dollars there for a very long time. I've been a customer with them since before Amazon. I have probably spent more at Amazon in recent years though.

That is always the go-to recommendation by everyone! Those cheap Chinese radios are awesome. Sure does the job compared to what you can spend on an Icom.

Windows 8 is to Vista, as Vista is to Windows ME. Remember ME? These were all huge fails.

True, the official "Microsoft store" app store is lacking compared to other app stores, but you have to remember that when it comes to freeware and opensource software, there are literally thousands of options available for the platform that you can download and install "side-loaded" it is Windows after all ;) still

My take is that Windows 8 was what Windows was to Windows Vista. Every other OS release is fantastic, and the ones in between are not well accepted. This is the path they were on. Windows XP - Great, Windows Vista - Suck, Windows 7 - Great, Windows 8 - suck, Windows 10 - Awesome? I am going to assume if they make it

I put some pretty decent Thermaltake fans in my last desktop. They are still going strong in the same case 7 years later. Not as quiet as they once were, but they still work!

Is it best to have positive pressure or negative pressure inside the case? Would having a negative pressure inside cause dust to get drawn in from the cracks in the corners or anything like that? I've heard arguments for and against both. I can see positive pressure forcing dust out of small crevices, but some people

I stopped blinging out my desktop long ago. I took all the cold cathodes out because I'm not really staring at the inside of my computer like I used to anymore. I'm going for function over flare. Just a couple of subtle blue LED's is all my case has now. I didn't really cheap out on fans, but I didn't get the most
