This! My dog does the same thing, she unrolls the toilet paper all over the bathroom and her toenails scratch up the whole roll so when you go to use it you just get shreds of toilet paper instead of sheets. Rather annoying, but that is really the only practical fix is to have it unroll the "wrong" way.

Wow that website has super cheap batteries on it! I haven't changed my UPS battery in probably 4 years but I still get decent run time out of it. Have you ever purchased from this website before? Decent shipping rates and customer service?

I love reading things like this on here. This is all valuable knowledge to have. One thing I might add is that you should have a spare battery or two on hand for your phone if you are going to rely on it. But just like in any survival situation, never rely on just one item for survival. Your phone can get smashed,

I guess you would be more knowledgeable on home electrical than I am but my electrical knowledge comes from the automotive scene. So I ask this question of you to see if my understanding of electricity is correct or not.

True, it isn't actually grounded to the earth or anything it is just a metal box that allows it to complete the circuit. It is essentially being grounded to itself/grounded to the wall stud. Ideally everything would have proper wiring but you can get by with grounding to the box if you don't feel like running new

I also mentioned multiple Subaru models on this QOTD. I have a Legacy and a Tribeca. My mom just bought a new 2014 Forester and she consistently gets 29MPG. Very good for the 2.5, and the CVT is actually one of the better CVT's on the market that I've driven. Not great, but better than the earlier ones.

More reasons to always have a home inspection when purchasing a home! A certified home inspector will be able to tell you these things, and will give you room to bargain a price on the home if renovations need to be done.

When we bought our first house a few years ago the wiring was updated up to code, but there was still some old knob and tube wiring left over, it just wasn't live. However, that doesn't mean all of the outlets were wired correctly. About 1/4th of my outlets were not grounded or the polarity was reversed.

I believe I was 6 when we had our first computer. That was 19 years ago. Not sure we used it for much at the time, it was a green screen old IBM computer with dual 5 1/4" floppies. You would load DOS from one floppy, and your application from another floppy.

I just recommended a Mazda 6 to someone. They bought one a week later. I also recommend Subaru's a lot, because I have a Subaru bias. I have recommended VW Passats, Jettas, Golfs. It really depends on the person and their priorities.

Any road in the midwest. Roads in Wisconsin and Michigan are completely broken, pot holed, cracking, and buckling. In the summer time, you have asphalt exploding. In the winter time, you have giant holes and cracks formed from snow plows. Most major highways are under constant construction from April through November.

I have several favorite vacation spots that we frequent, depending on the time of year (it gets cold in the winter time in WI so going south in the middle of January is always nice). We have gone to the San Juan islands in Washington several times. I am going to try to get to the Olympic National Park soon as well. If

Too bad I missed this QOTD. I would nominate Madison, WI.

Wisconsin drivers suck, Illinois drivers suck, Minnesota drivers suck, Indiana drivers suck. I've driven through all these states extensively. In all the states I've driven in, I'd have to say the less densely populated states out west have the best drivers. They know to stay in the right lane unless to pass because

A lot of areas have companies that provide rural wireless access using technologies known as fixed terrestrial wireless. They put an antenna on your roof that connects to a tower somewhere usually within 15-20 miles with line of sight. This is one option. Another option would be to get a USB cellular modem and connect

I've used both platforms before and I'm currently on Android on a Galaxy S3. I love that phone. One thing I will say is that Apple has pioneered great hardware design and has made a cosmetically pretty phone. I have had some pretty ugly Android phones in the past (HTC Thunderbolt with extended battery anyone?) however

I'm located more in the south central part of the state near Madison. I guess ymmv definitely applies here even in very localized areas.

Sprint in WI is pretty good overall. Especially in the southern part of the state, from Lacrosse all the way across to Sheboygan and south of that line pretty much it works great. Hardly ever have dropped calls.

+1 for Sleepbot. You guys have mentioned it a couple of times before. I've been using it on my Android phone for over a year and really love it. One of the best free apps out there I think.
