I always laugh at these types of behavior. Making up an arbitrary standard, then trying to exploit loopholes. They say they’re commanded to do these things by an all-powerful god but then act like they can pull one over on him, or somehow beat him in court.

Game system emulators aren’t illegal, as has been proven in court multiple times. Using copyrighted code (be it bios, firmware, or ROMs), on the other hand, is.

For the last time, there’s been multiple US court cases, and while companies would absolutely LOVE for emulation to be illegal so they could talk like you, it isn’t. Emulators are totally legal. Pirating ROMs isn't and that's definitely spurred on by emulation, but emulators are totally legal.

Sounds like Bird and Lime don’t like having their business model disrupted.

It could be that the EV credits are 100% responsible for the bubble in EV market in China mentioned above.

China and the US have the same $7,500 credit, and the credit probably helps expand the market a little.

So you’re saying that expensive CGI looks better than cheap CGI?

what about atheists? can we choose which day off we get?

Uplay, Origin, and B.net are company stores for Ubisoft, EA, and Activision Blizzard respectively. They bypassed (or in Blizzard’s case, never sold on) Steam to sell directly to customers. Even then, Ubi will sell on Steam, then force you into Uplay as an updater/launcher anyway. GoG Galaxy is a CD Projekt division,

Valve has to have a ton of overhead with all the servers they run, the constant updates from security threats, the market, VR, the community, and countless other things that Epic store does not have. I find it crazy that it even has to be mentioned.

Infotainment systems will also be a major differentiator. Enhanced functionality to help drivers keep the car charged (AI predictions of needed charge level based on driving habits, network connections to guide a driver to an open charger that’s convenient, etc.) will be a big selling point to a range-anxious buyer.

And then there’s the fact that this future of cars relies on battery cells usually outsourced away from the automakers themselves, and from a small number of typically Asian firms. In other words: The electric cars of tomorrow will have a lot less “potential for differentiation” as they all use the same batteries from

I’m confident that in 1903, a 34-year old said this Wright aircraft nonsense would have no impact on transportation in his lifetime.

Handling and suspension tuning have nothing to do with what’s powering a car. Dynamics, packaging, design, luxury features - plenty of ways to make a car different even if the motor is the same.

Neutral: It’s no different than today. Within the full size truck segment, there is not a discernible difference between the Ram, Silverado or F-150. They get essentially the same towing, fuel economy and range. The styling and “features” are what customers are truly buying.

Neutral: I think the major differentiator will be styling and appointments. If the same basic performance and range is across all manufacturers, it will come down to branding and aesthetics. Hopefully it will usher in the return of variety of body styles - true coupes, wagons, hatchbacks, shooting brakes, etc.

Darn computers, always doing what you told them to do and not what you wanted them to do.

Ford CEO: Not gonna deny that autonomous cars are overhyped and probably won’t be ready for prime time for quite some time. That said, I’ve heard a few interviews with this guy, and either he’s a genius so far beyond me that I just don’t get it, or he’s a moron. He says that he wants to leverage user data from Ford

Was it really awful? I am not a millionaire, not even close, and I bought a model 3 simply because I work my fucking ass off and paid off my 2015 WRX within 4 years which allowed me to have a very substantial down payment for my 3. I also would not have bought the 3 if it was not for the $7500 credit. Suck on that. Sor

I really don’t get that. I mean, the Patriots suck, but...why are you rooting against an American company that’s building the first truly innovative cars in 50 years? And why does it make you happy to see them fail?

The irrational hatred of Tesla is one of those things I find deeply puzzling. There are perfectly
