I’m not really a music snob, I just make it a point to avoid most pop music. I can’t even distinguish the different female pop artists currently rotating on the radio.
No one - not Taylor Swift, or any other rich, white, conventionally attracted white woman - is entitled to a number one spot. “Blocking” and “kept out” are both phrases that implicitly give ownership or the rights of a place to someone - and Taylor Swift does not “own” the number one spot.
Many artists much greater than Taylor Swift have never had a #1 hit. Vanilla Ice has, though. Not exactly an indicator of quality or long-term success. Not that Swift’s new songs are any good, mind you.

That Chicago is spending so much money to prosecute a minor crime given their resistance to doing absolutely anything about police brutality - which produces actual victims - is pretty gross.
