90 second tributes are the equivalent to an ex-player’s newspaper ad thanking the city and its fans. Most players are expected to do that when they leave, it really shouldn’t be this much drama over a team saying thanks upon their return.

I’m a Boston fan and even so, during the Pierce / KG / Rondo / Allen / Perk years, I used to refer to them as “The least-likable team in basketball.”

As sports fans, we all have that one or two players that we wish we could’ve seen win a championship. They may have been on “our” team or just that player that we loved in the League, but we often muse about how great it would’ve been to see them win just once.

I think this is a bit overly pessimistic. If this were the 2014 Olympics, he wouldn’t even be asked about this on those stages. And I guess it remains to be seen, but I expect this will absolutely affect the endorsements and commercials he gets post Olympics.

Rajon Rondo has never been happy in his life.

Exactly. As others have said, once Sandy Hook happened and nothing changed then it was clear that we would be doing anything to about gun violence in this country.

I’m a pro second amendment guy but even I know no one needs an ar-15. Semi auto weapons may be useful against feral hogs and packs of coyotes but they are designed to kill humans. And no civilian should have that. Will criminals still get their guns? Sure. But it will prevent the first timer from committing their only

Obama was extremely passionate about gun control. But surprise, surprise he was stymied by the Republican Congress at every turn. I agree that it is all very disheartening, but the best we can do is ask our elected officials about this very issue, make them take a stance, and vote for people that will do something.

At least Obama tried to do something about it. Now that Republicans control the government the silence is deafening when it comes to doing anything about these shootings.

Sandy Hook was over 5 years ago, can we talk about it now?

I also have no idea what the hell Aron Baynes means when he just says “Vikings.”

The NRA assisted Roosevelt in drafting the 1934 National Firearms Act and the 1938 Gun Control Act, the first federal gun control laws. These laws placed heavy taxes and regulation requirements on firearms that were associated with crime, such as machine guns, sawed-off shotguns and silencers. Gun sellers and

Because the NRA doesn’t represent gun owners as much as they represent gun manufacturers.

Not trolling here. I saw an episode of the West Wing where a character said, (paraphrasing) if you want to change the NRA, have every Liberal in America join it and demand a majority rules vote to ban assault weapons.

As an avid hunter and someone who owns guns these types of situations piss me off. Why can’t we have some tighter controls on guns? Why cant we expand the background checks? I cant stand the NRA and refuse to join them because of how extreme their stance is. Work with people to find some sort of common ground instead

Typical libtards getting triggered just because children are dying in easily preventable ways

A black person being on Friends is even crazier than the Earth being flat.

Teeeeechnically, Monica and Ross are siblings, and Monica married Chandler, and Ross did have that baby with Rachel— look, what I’m saying is that technically only Pheobe and Joey aren’t related.

“It is indisputably sexual harassment. That’s a crime,”

This implies that something has to happen to every celebrity or athlete that does something improper. That’s vengeful not progressive. We should hold everyone accountable and we should demand that. But we shouldn’t be counting all the ways in which to ruin someone’s career.
