Anyone knows that Wisconsin isn’t famous for beagles

I already know that in 15 years I will be the rabid “no one will ever match Federer” type that I despise in the old-timers who won’t countenance Lebron vs MJ debates. And I don’t know if I’m bothered by that.

Brandon was very good, but that SI cover is not ageing well.

Him and TJ Ford are on my all-time disappointment list. Disappointment as in they could have had amazing careers if it had not been for injuries :(

Oh also, Terrell Brandon.

Technically, I think LeBron drafted “R. Westrook.”

“Hell has no fury like a woman scorned.

Well yeah, but on the other hand.....money.

I realize that few people start out their lives aiming to become a villain, it happens by degrees. You go to law school thinking you’ll be the next Atticus Finch defending the defenseless. You face the reality that you have to work for a big law firm to pay your bills. You wind up representing people who can pay

the only time it happens is for national team games, where it makes sense since they are playing for their country. Even then I don’t think it happens unless its a major game, but I could be wrong on that.

Yeah. I never hear “My Country, ‘Tis Of Thee” before Premier League games.

Yeah, that entire quote is complete bullshit. It’s possible he doesn’t even recognize the logical disconnect in what he’s saying.

“...but when we come onto the field, we’re here to play football. That’s everyone’s job.”

The recovery argument is just levels of fatigue. You can recovery from being tired at the end of the second half. Catch your breath, get more fluids in you, etc. A less fatigued player is less likely to get injured.

Well there is one.

so you’re saying Tommy Maddox won’t be coming back to defend his MVP trophy?

You could just have a headline that says “Draymond Green is a dick” and post it every day and it would be true most of the time.

Or that he had about 1/3rd of the WAR that Thome got.

I have no date to support the fact that 472 of Thome’s 612 Homers were against the Tigers...but, I’m pretty sure its true. Congrats to all 4. They are certainly deserving.
