I had a beginner chopper with huge landing gear that kept the rotors out of wall and would *almost* always guarantee a good landing. Didn't protect it from the ceiling though. Basically a giant x with ping pong balls on the ends as landing gear.

PS3 needed this terribly. I started in on it one day, but when I realized I would have to COMPLETELY disassemble it, I stopped. Given it's volume I didn't think it would be hidden, but it was on the motherboard proper which was about 15 screws further than I wanted to go.

Been there done that. You probably won't have to cut anything, just remove one lead from the buzzer. Will be behind all the knobs on the top part. I didn't even need a schematic. Tried the one I though it was, plugged it back in, tested it, wife was very happy.
