Blackwell, Blackwell, Blackwell!

I'm going to pass along the ancient adventure game fan secret: don't use an FAQ, use UHS.

A good friend just got an Xbox One, so we decided to celebrate by both buying Overwatch.

It's so frustrating too because the show clearly made a push to talk about issues and perspectives that aren't covered elsewhere in late night – and couldn't have been covered by the correspondents The Daily Show had in the past. They took the right steps moving the topicality of the show forward, but it doesn't have

I kept watching it mostly out of habit up until just recently. It finally sunk in a few days ago that Noah is just using current events as a jumping-off point for standup bits rather than offering commentary. It stopped having an interesting viewpoint a while ago. :(

Yeah it's definitely awkward timing. Apparently because no one travels at that time, they can get the event space for super cheap, so I can't begrudge them for taking advantage of that.

Come to MAGFest. Everyone should come to MAGFest! I'll probably be incessant about it on Twitter when registration opens.

Girard nailed it. I've never understood the beatification of the original Sonics. The games are all about speed over precision but have too complicated levels for that MO. I never had a Genesis as a kid, but when I finally got the chance to go back and play them, every Marble Zone or Chemical Plant Zone made me wonder

I was just wondering where this column went! Great to see it back.

"Sometimes, like in a futuristic… like a sci-fi movie, you'll see like, a robot that's like the old version of the robot, and you kind of feel bad."

The correspondent segments are increasingly about the horrifying, disgusting nature of the human form. Doug Prishpreed's weird movements are so unnatural, Scott Clam's face is getting more hideous every time.

This is worse than that time Gummo was on the front page for a whole weekend. I love it.

That change to the post-game stats sounds FANTASTIC. The K/D obsession has always turned me off from multiplayer shooters and is one of the reasons I quit Halo 5, because even if you want to ignore it, it's there, assigning your worth a number even when it doesn't make sense. I love the idea of celebrating different

An article is a different thing than a game.

I do agree that the need to scan everything to fill in the blanks changed the flow of the series (and no, it's effectively not optional if you plan to enjoy the game as intended). One of the great parts of Super Metroid was the horrific, unexplainable nature of the bosses, and I don't think the game would gain

I once got a Japanese copy of Pokémon Stadium 2 (the update on the original, not the full-fledged sequel) at a used video store, and it severely fucked up my copy of Pokémon Yellow that I tried to use it with. That's about the extent of it I think, maybe because that horrified me into never trying it again.

3 Nights in Chicago sounds fantastic. Heist games are such an unexplored genre outside Monaco, so the more the better!

The Sims: Getting Through One Day at a Time

This is fucking awesome. Score one for more inclusive game design.

The fact that they went through the effort of porting two levels of TimeSplitters 2 to current systems – and even to PC! – seems like it has to be part of something larger Deep Silver has in mind for the trilogy. I accept that TimeSpliters is over, because it was a series for a specific moment, sort of a swan song to
