Though it’s one of those things where the crimes of the few punish the many. Doing something like checking your side mirror for a couple seconds shouldn’t be penalized as harshly as the regulators want it to be.

The adapter also came out well before the Cybertruck. So perhaps there will just be a v2 adapter that works on all models instead of just the models that were out at the time the adapter was released.

Its not meant for the cybertruck... it's for the other models.  Why are you folks even expecting it to work?

“In general, I don’t trust NACS to CCS adapters, or vice versa. If the car wasn’t designed to accept the cable, it’s not a great idea to try to shove electrons through any variety of contraption.”

New numbers about non-Tesla EV market share and how many dealerships are selling electric vehicles are showing just how much Tesla’s market edge has shrunk in the past few years, according to data compiled by iSeeCars.com.”

How exactly am I going to bat for the insurance companies? This person clearly doesn’t understand how insurance works.

What are you talking about? Insurance isn’t buying a coupon book that you “use” for discounted repairs. If you’re paying for insurance you’re “using” it.

I am not sure you understand how insurance works.

What, exactly would you suggest they replace it with?

I am going to play devil’s advocate here (I honestly don’t have an opinion), but let’s assume that what everyone is saying is true, that the insurance companies are running some sort of scam here, where they are inflating their losses relative to what people are paying. What is the benefit to them to not insure people

Florida would like a word....

CCS, not CSS, and Tesla already uses the European standard in Europe

Dealers want to sell whatever people are actually buying.

Sounds like Franchise Laws simply don’t need to exist then.

I have no idea what is more obnoxious and nauseating these days:

Did you get kicked out of autoblog? Now you have to post on jalopnik?

Vehicle that costs the same as a Porsche beats Porsche in drag race while towing another Porsche?

I mean, it’s impressive, if nothing else. All drag races are spectacle, really.

This Roadster is not at all based on the Lotus Elise. The original Roadster was Lotus-based, which was in production between 2008 and 2012. About 2,450 of them were sold.

The Second Gen Roadster was unveiled in 2017, and was supposed to launch in 2020.

You’re digging deep there.

I’m not here to defend Tesla, but I also think this anti-Tesla trope isn’t one that’s going to build a community of people who care about the content here.

If at the end of the day Jalopnik ceases to exist, that doesn’t change my life very much.

Nothing against any of the talented writers

I wonder if Jalopnik would still be around if it weren’t for the ad revenue generated from anti-Tesla content.
