AS much fun as these D&D streams and events can be sometimes I wonder if they might be a hindrance to getting new players. When you see professional DM's and Improv people with great editing and sets having a blast and doing a great story, it can make the amateur game someone starts at seem like a real let-down.

I'm almost done with Saladin Ahmed's "Throne of the Crescent Moon" a nice breezy little Sword and Sorcery fantasy that is made so much better by being placed into an Arabian milieu.

Nathan Rabin's is more intimate man, and I gush a little every time Mr. Rabin personally responds to one of my posts.

I post on iO9 very infrequently and barely ever get out of the greys. I can barely understand the threads based upon it's poor threading.

I started reading Prole Hole vs REM over on the Tolerability Index. It's been enjoyable and let me revisit the REM albums reviewed. I requested membership without knowing the rules and was never okayed, so I can only read, not comment.

I didn't like Van Helsing at all. The Dracula in it was Terrible. Penny Dreadful was really excellent.
