"Lover's Rock" is probably the worst, I'm not a big fan of "Four Horsemen" or "Guns of Brixton" either, though "Guns" has grown on me,

"Fair" is one of my all-time favorite songs.

Let's not forget the Wild West Outlaws like Jesse James and Billy the Kid.

It's good to read some Shawshank love from the Club (not just the commenters) From what I remember the previous regime didn't care too much for it. It is a timeless movie that doesn't at all feel 20 years old.

Besides the "satire" of treating murderers as stars isn't even original. Morrissey makes the same observations on "The Las of the Famous International Playboys" in 1989.

Every time I catch this movie it seems to be just at that part. Where the warden is berating everybody within earshot and throwing around the pieces of rock. And every time I can't help but be sucked in and I have to watch the escape play out. I swear I've seen the ending of Shawshank 100's of times but I have only

Garbanzo Beans, or Chickpeas, or Ceci Beans.

Shine Sweet Freedom Shine Your Light on Me! I've never seen Running Scared, but I think I got the gist of the movie from an overexposure to this video in the '80's. You wouldn't think it would have been an MTV Staple, but it was.

Fair enough. I do the same , love the music, pretty much ignore the tirades. But does the man himself ever launch posts to True-To-You about the music? About the production? About the stories behind the lyrics?

I see your point. I imagine I would be uncomfortable if all people could think to ask about was a band that I split from nearly 30 years prior and that I have never made any type of inclination to regrouping. That Colbert interview was so awkward.

1) So you like the new album? You had said that you doubted it was good because you didn't like the 4 songs that were released prior to the album. Personally I think it's great and better than his previous few. (Anyways, I'm glad you like it as well)

I'm actually listening to Cheatahs right now based on the Undercover. I had heard of them previously but rdio (the music streaming site I use and love) didn't seem to have it. Turns out that I didn't know that they misspelled their name and there was nothing for "Cheetahs"
I am liking it by the way.

2577-2581 of 5228 of my Non-Shuffle Shuffle. (I just got Lost)

I enjoy Jeane but I don't think Morrissey's vocals are particularly good on it. That one is still like a lost gem as it's not any of the physical Smiths albums I own and therefore not as well known to me

Oh the rap version is absolutely terrible.

I read somewhere that Costner only had a few weeks to prepare for the role and thus prepare for an accent and that the director was just like "Whatever, go with what you got."

I also would love to hear that arrangement. I actually still love both this song and movie despite their lack of "quality." They're just fun and good and yes it's nostalgia but I don't care.

Walk Hard. I know it's not based on anyone real, but damn is that a good movie.

I AM GROOT! I AM GROOT!
