Wow! Just Googled it. Turns out the Character of Sherlock Holmes precedes Raistlin and these novels by about 100 or so years. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and being a patronizing asshole.

"XBox On, Bitch!"

Fine.

Fair enough. I am not knowledgable enough about Literary Sherlock Holmes to know if he's a dick or not.

-He's popular with fans despite being a dick.

Upon my re-read a few years back I was totally impressed with Sturm. He became my new favorite character and his death was really touching.

I never liked Raistlin. Even when I re-read the books years later I still hate him. Especially when it comes to the near fawning of him in the text in later novels. A dick's a dick.

Looking back Raistlin is like every jerk protagonist in TV now. The one that's super smart, has the answer to everything and treats people like shit. Your House, or Sherlock, or Mentalist,or any other guy who's crap we put up with because they get results.

They probably just watch each episode over and over.

It can be. I sadly missed out on this series as a kid, and only recently read it after an aborted attempt at listening to them on audiobooks a few years back., Yeah, they are good and would probably have been my favorite thing if I read them as a kid.

Last month I finished "The Chronicles of Pyrdain" by Lloyd Alexander. What a wonderful series of books. I followed that up by reading a bunch of X-Men books, Old, New and in-between. I still have a backlog of them to get through, but my interest in them is waning.

I love all their stuff, but The Winter of Mixed Drinks is my favorite.

Into the H's now.
Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels
Frightened Rabbit - Head Rolls Off (For Some Reason My iPod has The Clash's London Calling for the album pic on this one)
Arcade Fire - Headlights Look Like Diamonds
The Smiths -The Headmaster Ritual
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll (This one reminds me of Blue Monday.)

I am so bored.

But really though, Luke never killed Darth Vader. Luke showed mercy before striking the killing blow. It was the Dark Force of the Emperor that did Vader in.

Find your local "Dad" bar and you'll be sure to hear them.

I can't contribute as I was born in another country.

I still sing that goddam boardgame jingle every time someone says 'crossfire.'
