No they only launched because they needed to figure out a new way to monetize a 6 year old game

So you might not know this, but this a patch to Overwatch 1 which a lot of people paid for. You don’t need to bootlick them. Blizzard isn’t gonna fuck you.

Eh, there is the original launch blues but there is a difference with the dumpster fire OW2 has been. From requiring a phone number with a specific carrier to play it (No pre-paid phones for you!) to lackluster high cost skins (some of the legendaries will take months to grind out), to the battle pass not rewarding…

Yeah, no. No amount of spin is going to make it reasonable to ask a player to change their phone number of 15+ years to play a video game.

I never believe game companies when they claim external attacks the release day.  It looks to me more like they did not scaled correctly the required hardware to allow everything to run correctly.  Anyway theres more than enough reasons to attack Blizzard,  they just killed yesterday Overwatch 1, and they did it for…

Exactly the opposite. How could they sell the GPUs at a loss and remain in business? If they can cut out of the market and still remain profitable, then it’s a wise decision

Great games don’t have horrible monetization, and turn to ‘Blech’ long before the level cap is reached.  You might have wonderful memories of older Diablo games that were in fact great games.  Diablo Immortal is a crap game with crap prizes.

It’s easy to blast the cruise industry because of its environmental impact and also their impact on the destinations they visit. I’m certainly not a fan. But their fuel use is maybe 5% of the global shipping industry, and maybe 1-2% of that of the emissions of cars and trucks.

Curator Connect limits devs to sending out only 100 copies. This is far too low a limit for many devs.

It’s also pretty unhelpful in other ways, like Curators not being able to reach out to devs to request keys via it and no moderation of a lot of the dodgy curator groups with the same set of admins for dozens of them…
