I really want to try the new Total War but can’t justify spending $70 on a new game right now. I’m also kind of in this weird space where I feel like playing a game but can’t decide which one, so I’ve just been playing one day of Stardew Valley and then turning it off.

This is why I play NHL 19. Sometimes after a long day I just want to turn my brain off and “auto-play” if that makes sense. Sometimes games like RDR2 have stories that are just too overwhelming if you’re not in the mood to really immerse yourself.

Agreed. With subscriptions you just pile up games you might never even play. Just pick a few games a year to play since most games will last for hours and hours anyway. Games are announced so far in advance that you can realistically choose which games you want to buy and save for them months in advance.
