A friend and I were going on a weekend trip in his MR2. He was schooling me on how little I could bring with me if I also wanted to get into the car.

I took my Hyundai to a nearby dealer to do warranty work. Along the way (and apparently not realizing it was covered by warranty too) the dealer said I needed a new differential in my Santa Fe. They told me they’d order it last March. They never called me back, despite additional calls to them.

Whether you agree or disagree with his platform, it probably doesn’t matter.  A third party candidate has virtually no chance of being elected to the House of Representatives from Manhattan.

Easier to just buy a hybrid, isn’t it?

Who screwed up?  Wasn’t this supposed to be a slide show?

None of the last five are states.

Decades later, a guy in my wife’s HS class brought the GTO convertible he received as a graduation gift. Still has it. Beautifully restored.

Price Chopper is very big in upstate NY.  Downstate, not so much.

And it’s well known the rhythm method isn’t reliable if you’re syncopated.

Laundrie wasn’t found guilty.  He killed himself, and a in a journal found with his body, he admitted to killing Gabby.

The high school I went to skipped gifted students one grade course-by-course. But sending a 9th-grade kid to 10th grade math just mixed them in with 10th grade kids. If you did 12th grade physics in 11th grade, there was no science class for you to take in 12th grade. Had I gone to summer school for the classes I

I like that Sears never asked what we did to tools. I had an old level that just wouldn’t level anymore. I don’t know what I did to that. Took it to a Sears store. They didn’t have that size anymore, so they let me pick another, similar one.

Because of my background, no lawyer in his or her right mind, defense or prosecution, would ever put me on a jury. My son and his wife are lawyers. My cousin was an assistant DA. My dad and I were both cops. I was once a reporter. I’ve sat through dozens of trials. Because I once was a government official I’ve been

I’ve been to London twice in the last nine years. I have two oyster cards (for the underground) with about 20 pounds each on them. I paid my bank a fee to convert my dollars to pounds. My bank credit card doesn’t charge a conversion fee, so if I go over again I’ll try to pay for everything in local currency with the

The 2004 Monterey belongs, sure.  But so do most Mercuries, throughout the history of the marque.

These guys aren’t still your friends, are they?

I’m not going to  bother looking for a pic, but omitting the ‘53 Studebaker coupe?  You guys ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

The McLaren and the Superbird are both reminders of why we all need to be careful when considering a car with a Florida title in the near future.

1958 Buick Electra 225. So much chrome and stainless! I’ve often thought it would be funny (but admittedly expensive) to rebuild one of these and in doing so paint everything that was chromed and chrome everything that was painted. It would be a subtle difference.

I think most commencements would be better off without commencement speakers and without valedictory speakers as well. The last commencement I attended was my son’s law-school commencement. The speaker was a prominent local attorney. During his speech, he somehow got around to his serving on jury duty and telling the
