I am here rooting for the automakers to always make the weirdest, most interesting choices possible.”

Yes, I’ve driven through Nebraska, but way before the pandemic. My biggest disappointment is when I made a pitstop in Sydney, I didn’t realize how close I was to Carhenge, so I didn’t detour to visit. I did find myself wondering if you’d get better mileage going east than west, since east is downhill, while west is up.

I don’t have time today to read all these replies, although I’m certain many of them are wise and/or funny.  However, in case nobody has mentioned it, isn’t the Dodge Charger the #1 vehicle name that should be reissued to an EV?

Thin mints.  Fight me if you must.  But how do they know you can freeze Thin  Mints?  In my house, they wouldn’t get cool, let alone frozen, before the Thin Mints were snatched out of the freezer and devoured.

61 Rambler, 6 cyl, manual, 4-door sedan.  It was about 10 years old at the time, we were young and we inherited it when my wife’s grandmother passed away.

I guess GM must have improved a little over the years.  I bought two GM cars back to back in the 70's.  Because of that I haven’t considered buying a GM auto since.

A credit-union approved dealer once told me I wouldn’t get the special interest rate if I didn’t buy from a credit-union approved source.  I checked that out, found it wasn’t true and bought the car from another dealer for $500 less.

New?  Sure.  Used?  Probably not.

A high-mileage Toyota that doesn’t need much work? Next thing you know, Tracy will be writing an extended series on his experience the one time he purchased a fully operational vehicle. That will be new and different

Maybe Cuomo is still in office because he doesn’t have quite as many enemies as Gov. Spitzer did.

If you want to kill someone, hitting them with a car has the best chance of you getting away with it.

If Bill Gates is now controlling the Trumps, how soon can we expect Bill to control Donnie and get the later to calm down at least a bit?

At one time, the PA turnpike had big signs telling motorists that the fines escalated depending on how much faster than the speed limit you were going.  I don’t remember the numbers, but for example 10 over might cost you $50, while 20 over would get you a $100 fine.  This didn’t work, because nobody wanted the rest

There doesn’t seem to be one answer. Back in the 70's, during the first gas crisis, the nationwide 55 mph limit (established to conserve fuel) caused NY State to raise the speed limit on its parkways by 5 mph, because it had been 50. A few years ago, on a sunny day in May, I found myself on Connecticut’s Wilbur Cross

This chariot is made of wood. Therefore, it can’t rust. That explains David Tracy’s lack of interest. Hope this clearly answers the question you posed.

Just curious. Does this website’s parent company have any figures as to how many people read these slide shows when compared to how many people read the other content across this site and all the company’s other digital platforms? If it doesn’t, and wants to compile them, count me as someone who doesn’t read any of the

Is this a jury trial?  I only ask because if it is he only has to get one person to buy his story.

Having nothing to do with the dealer experience, but I owned a ‘72 Buick, and a ‘79 Monte Carlo. In more than 40 years since, I’ve never even considered buying another GM car, because fool me twice, shame on me.

Many car buyers have no compunction about lying to car salesmen because the entire car-buying process is so tilted against the buyer that many people buy a car and are never sure they weren’t screwed in one way or another.

that’s 17-year old.  I was a big baby and precocious too, but I didn’t learn to drive when I was one.  Damn typos.
