“If it had been up to me...”
Unless she’s alleging something really evil, IT WAS up to her. She could have told him to pound sand.

Justin Timberlake is a shitstain for many reasons (add mocking Prince’s height to the very long list). Not wanting to be a father at 19 or 20 isn’t one of them.
Thank you! Yes, they were “adults,” but they were likely stunted due to *gestures wildly* everything going on in their lives. They should not have been asked those questions and I think at worst Justin responded immaturely... because he was immature.
They weren’t ready for kids. Are we really painting Justin as a bad guy for being honest about that?
Right is this not just someone sort of falling off a motorcycle? lol. “Oh it’s a reference!”
To be fair, they also didn’t ask anyone.
This whole “article” is just posts on social media from random NPCs and we’re supposed to take it seriously? There is more thoughtful analysis in the comments that from the site supposedly paying people to write about video games.
What actually makes this the “Akira slide” though, I don’t get it? Is the only criteria the framing? Because she isn’t facing the right way and everything else about the scene screams someone just losing control of their bike and trying to put their foot down, not trying to do the Badass Skid Stop.
Though really it’s not actually because nobody wanted to go to prom with them, it’s why nobody wanted to go to prom with them.
funny given that filters often make people look like poorly rendered video game characters
Seems to me like it’s probably just a standard, common laying-down-the-bike crash, not an Akira slide. /shrug
Yeah the entire point of MJ is she’s NOT a super hero, but a regular person doing their best to do their best
The only hate of MJ I’ve seen are the guys who dislike the in-game model because they’ve trained their brain to only be aroused by Photoshop/Instagram-filtered women.
To her credit, we don’t know the context for why MJ biffed the Akira slide.
This article and the reactions, solid evidence media literacy is dead
Is the thrust of this post really people surprised that a fictional character doesn’t replicate another fictional character’s fictional achievement? What a weird angle to take earnestly—and here I mean this post specficically. Some people find this one fine, but it’s all made up! The good one or the “bad” one!…
Low level misogyny that permeates every facet of society and is less masked in the gaming fandom.
“because no one wanted to go to prom with me.”
Seriously what is it with male gamers (TM) and their hate of MJ and red haired women in gaming in general? It seems they have something new to complain about every day.
While some fans are trouncing MJ’s vehicular oopsie as developer Insomniac Games “not [understanding] the assignment”
