It was kind of cool having him on the show at the beginning, but Chevy Chase really was the weakest actor on the whole show. His performance style was so hammy. The only time it was decent was when he really leaned in to the villain stuff. Everything else was basically him indicating to the audience where the joke…

The South Park guys have never been progressive.  They are “both sides” libertarians. They have always had some shitty views on some things 

Parker and Stone are also on the side of always being right about everything. Which is fine. I mean, many people live their whole lives that way. But it’s a bad look for a couple of comedians. 

This is a very neat narrative designed to accomplish several objectives:
1. Isolate her from any culpability in “The Slap”.
2. Do damage control on her “Entanglement”.
3. Further remove agency from her choice to marry Will.
4. Get some get back on Chris.

And I realize this is Jezebel, but can you at least temporarily…

The best critique of South Park and one that’s come the closest to explaining why it rubs me the wrong way is that they always take the side of “not caring”. The end result is always that caring about anything is dumb and “both sides” are bad if either of them actually care. 

Not to dash your hopes or anything, but Maher is a boomer-lite autocrat that prefers liberal autocracy to conservative autocracy (‘conservative autocrat’ = Dennis Miller). Those two dudes are birds of the same feather, just simping for different billionaires.

Cartman was maybe the avatar of social media 10 years ago. Now I just don’t think South Park is as relevant as it used to be.

Listen, if anyone can be trusted to deliver a script about media pandering, it’s South Park, the ancient franchise that’s been pandering nonstop to mediocre edgy white dudebros for a quarter century.

Can we finally add South Park to the list of overly long running adult animated shows that need to die already?

Not fan of her, there was an article where she said her son helped her get on ayahuasca bc she was suicidal….feel like that is not her sons weight to bear. 

This is real weird. Don’t vomit your life for everyone to consume (and she does it much more than average, it’s literally her career to lay it all out there) and then now that it’s convenient for you, tell us it’s all been an act? I’m not sure I even buy it but I also can’t figure out why she’d lie about lying. 

So, basically, Rock is really just another man who got rejected by a woman and then made a very public joke at her expense.

I don’t know what they have, but it sure doesn’t look healthy for either one.
