Maybe it’s okay to be critical of the scab-adjacent corporate shilling of a high profile pop star with a big platform and his own comms team even if we think the scab-adjacency of that shilling is borne more of ignorance than malice.  It’s not like Starbucks’ union busting is new or unknown, and it’s maybe selling out

Intentionally putting the wrong name on a coffee cup is something only Peggy Hill would find funny.

10usd a month isn't free though. It's like saying you watch a movie on Netflix for free.

Ah so the marketing got to you huh. You pay a sub each month for access to the game.

God there's such a huge disconnect between what the majority of modern gamers want and what the heads of these studios want. All of these studios heads bragging about the length of their tedious open world games are meant with frustration and a sense of being overwhelmed. We don't want longer games! There are too many

I’m hoping this quote will be my experience from the jump:

This ain’t the flex he thinks it is.

I feel like we should stop calling them “main” quests. They aren’t any more important than the other ones. It’s just another path to follow, another story to explore, and all of them are equally optional.

New Vegas wasn’t made by Bethesda that’s why you can fuck off and do whatever you want 2 minutes after starting the game. You don’t even have to get your revenge.

no, it’s on game pass, which you have to pay for.

This is like bragging about fact that it takes ~70 hours to manually walk across the map in Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.

Eh, I think the second episode of that show was already fantastic (the one with Charlie’s “kid” showing up, and Dennis hanging out at an abortion protest). Seinfeld, now THERE’S a classic show where the first season (or two!) stinks.

Well, that now a solid pause before I plop down the money for this. Definitely going to wait for a solid cross section of player reviews first now.

Probably shouldn’t say that out loud because if there’s a good chunk of gamers out there like me, this is a big turnoff. Fully aware you can sink many hrs into this type of game but if its like that, then...what’s the point? It sounds more like there’s tons of stuff to do but none of it is all that interesting or

Oh jesus, stop it Bethesda. You THINK you’re saying that the game gets better and better, the longer you play it, but what you ACTUALLY are saying is that it’s boring, and only fun after literal hundreds of hours of suffering.

It’s a problem with the game design, because there’s no real narrative or gameplay drive to finish the main quests:

Neat. I’ll add this game to my backlog then and pickup the complete edition in 10 years when it’s discounted to $4.99 on some random site like GamesLOAD.com

Is this meant to be complimentary of the game? “You have to spend 50-100 hours playing through the main quest before you’re really going to be able to get into the game.” Why should it take that long for a game to get exciting?

I hope the story is actually good if I need to be playing it that long to REALLY start playing it. Kinda reminds me of when people recommend TV shows but say, “No, really, it’s great, you just need to get past the first season before it REALLY gets going...”
