I have been saying for years that we need better mass transit in a lot of the city areas in America. But the leaders say it will cost too much and then misappropriate funds and waste money on stupid stuff.

Eexcept they dont offer full service, only pumping your gas. The same thing happens in N.J. it is the law. However, the law in Oregon has changed recently.
Tis isbthe reason that ridiculous speed limits on open highways should be removed the World over.
Exactly.
What is wrong with being able to safely drive at those speeds?
Exactly. But this can have a direct impact on you in the future, when you turn around tomorrow and someone has bullied their way into your neighborhood and now dictates how you drive your vehicle, because there wasn't any realistic and necessary resistance to their unnecessary and ridiculous actions before.
How is safety a factor here? Speed is really not a factor in a majority of incidents. As an engineer, I would think you would have known that.
Don't mess with The Hoff.
Where is this elusive dangerous activity? Speed is not a high factor in car incidents. Human error, conditions and inattentiveness is.
Yor assumption that a truck produces more emissions than a small vehicle is skewed by the fact that they are transporting goods by the tons, rather than having a few pounds delivered by many, many more smaller vehicles. Shopping habits aside. Or, you could grow your own vegetables/cotton etc. Then make the cotton into…
Where is it written that you must stay stopped at a red light after you have cone to a complete stop and made sure it is safe to proceed? Is this just a misnomer that has stuck in our heads through the years and generations because that is how dad did it? I personally do not stay stationary once I have stopped…
I love round abouts. They put a few circles here on New Orleans, and the flow has increased over the intersection they replaced. But there is too much corruption and kick backs to allow more to be built, instead of typical intersections.
Wait minute, so there are countless studies out there that show faster travel is not a direct contributor to pollution. Dont let the camel get their nose under the edge of the tent.
Absolutely not. Emissions are being lowered all across the board.
Except there will be a lot more people that won’t get in it than will.
Plus, what happens when you are driving down the road and you see a place that you instantly want to go to? You’ll pass it up and it will then take too long to be able to reprogram the NAV, and then circle back around.
They are trying to reduce the amount if jobs held by Uber and Lyft etc. drivers. But even then, it probably won’t work for a long, long time.
I’m out. I still like driving. Plus, they state safety as a reason for this, but there is always the high possibility that the electronics can malfunction. Then what? If a person is in the seat, they can take over and avoid the collision or hit the brakes.
A Grom, on the interstate? Seriously? That is ridiculous and unsafe to say the least.
Someone gave me one if these just to get it off of their property, since it had a seized engine. I also had a Sunbird with a turbo 4. The swap was relatively easy, and let me tell you, that is the way this car should have been designed from the beginning.
