Except, Britain didn't do that.  They and a majority of the other European countries simply rebuilt what was already there and only made minor improvements. 

Because in the long run, it is more efficient and cheaper to travel longer and mid length trips in your own vehicle when compared to rail.

Do you know that every time a train goes over the high speed rail system that Japan uses, they have to perform inspections and maintenance on the track? Not cost effective or safe, considering Japan is small, compared to the great span of L.A. to N.Y.

Let’s all calm down a bit and realize how the mpg numbers are tallied. Ford, GM, ‘Hyundai’, Toyota etc. can all say whatever they want when it comes to those numbers. They also have "optimal" conditions at the best elevation etc.

I want to know how much Ford is charging them for the licensing agreement. I'm sure it isn't cheap. 

These are way, way too overpriced. You can get originals all day long that have been rebuilt for half that.

Taiwan or China or even Korea, those aftermarket parts are complete JUNK. Yes, there is a little better fitment from one made in Taiwan, but it really isn’t that good. Believe me, I work in a body shop, and deal with that crap all day long. Many times, we are returning them and then waiting longer to get an OEM part…

Oh yes, jump seats, the fastest way to break your neck in a hard impact from the front or rear.  If you don't die, you can have severe damage at the least.

Unfortunately it isn’t that the people want all of that steel and smaller windows, it is that the manufacturers are being forced to build like that because of supposed ‘safety’ means and measures.

Cretain times, companies want a little more experience and demeanor than a college student, especially in highly specialized industries. The gender has little to do with that.

It absolutely has been debunked several times. If a woman and man are hired at the same level, in the same job, at the same company, they are paid the same.  Where it is different is when you change the industry or the company, or the skill levels.

Exactly.  I don't like it when people try to say that women make less than men, but leave out the important factors.

I don't think he is sarcastic. A lot of farmers lift their trucks and add mud tires and so do some construction workers. It is needed to get the job done when working in such conditions that are slippery or rocky etc..

But unfortunately it won't come soon enough. Realistically another 20+ years.
