“When you set your story in a real place it comes with all the context that surrounds that place.”

“You think a game including a nuanced and more realistic experience with cops adds nothing?”

“outright ban on gas-powered cars”

I have LEDs on my USB hub that sits on my desk in the bedroom. the lights themselves don’t really bother me that much, although they are quite bright. What’s annoying though, is that when I put my computer to sleep, the lights go off, as they should. However every few minutes (not actually sure what the interval is),

once I find myself loading up a game just so I can get the daily login bonus items, I know it’s time to delete.

I still think that Candy Crush is one of the worst offenders, at least out of all the f2p games I play.
The way they place the buttons so you might accidentally hit the “keep playing” button instead of “give up”, the way they ask you after each game if you want to buy items, the way they fill up your piggy bank and the

flight sims, racing games, space sims, anything that involves driving/flying a vehicle is perfect for VR

so not having played previous MH games, what exactly is G-rank? the same monster, just stronger? Isn’t that what we got with the hard mode elder dragons, whatever they’re called? Or are they new monsters added to the game? Do they have new moves?

I really have mixed feelings about it. It’s my first MH game so I won’t compare with past itirations.

oh same here, I still haven’t finished the game but I’m dreading going back to it because I don’t remember anything about it... I’d need to start again from the beginning, which I don’t mind so much, but I just don’t have the time

well with “Souls” games, the first 50% of the game is the tutorial :P

I guess if the game has skippable cutscenes you could just start a new game and just play the tutorial. I grew up in the NES era so we never had any tutorials to begin with so this isn’t really so much a problem for me personally. But then we only had 2 buttons to remember so...

he wrote the books, he didn’t make the games. The games helped sell more of his books, not the other way around. The game gave him a netflix series, not the books. His contributions in this is minimal.

“ignorance that the studio took advantage of”

“ I have a hard time believing that any significant part of the games’ success have come from the name recognition of his novels.”

“Hey, enjoyment of literature is an entirely subjective experience, so read what you love!”

and a netflix series in the making.

so why did he wait 8 years before doing anything about it? He should have just kept his mouth shut, enjoy the royalties he gets from the books that sell so well BECAUSE OF THE GAMES as well as cashing in from the Netflix series THAT EXISTS BECAUSE OF THE GAMES. The games is what made The Witcher popular, not his books.

yeah which is ironic because the reason his books are selling so much is because of the games, not to mention the upcoming netflix series. CDPR made The Witcher famous, not him.

Well too bad for him. The offer he got was potentially for millions. He refused and insulted them.
