What makes this game different from Far Cry, Dying Light, Fallout 4, or any other of the "shooters with skill trees" genre is that Horizon is an actual RPG. Sure, there is a set character, but if the Witcher counts as an RPG, then so does Horizon. You make choices that affect outcomes in different ways.

The Boost Mode in the upcoming firmware which gives performance boosts to older games without Pro patches really makes it worth it. I got it because the disc drive on my launch PS4 died and I don't own a 4K TV. on my 48" 1080p TV games that are downsampled from 4K have noticeably better IQ.
