Well I, for one, subscribe to OnlyFans for the articles.

Yeah, I can’t even call it a worst-case scenario.  Other than to say that the majority of people who get inconvenienced would leave sooner.

Wow, I was reading this article and I also immediately thought of that book. It was a pretty good book too. I totally forget why or how I read it .. At any rate, I remember thinking it was a pretty believable post-water-scarcity world he set the story in.

The water knife is shockingly prescient, and I have been thinking about it consistently during this drought. A very believable portrayal of a near-term-future.

I didn’t know about that author, but now plan to read those books. Thanks!

I remember watching it when it first came out on DVD and I thought that Antonio Banderas was the only one who captured the “preternatural” quality of the vampire. I did not care for Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, but that’s because I’ve never found Brad Pitt credible in dramas and Tom Cruise is almost always Tom Cruise. I

I think justice needs to be done with Lestat’s backstory. They tried to cram two novels worth of content into one movie (Queen of the Damned) and basically butchered the backstory of every character. I hope they will delve into a more novel accurate depiction of Lestat’s origin. I honestly think Louie is super boring

We’ve always been past the tipping point because we don’t live in a world where the greater good matters at all. It’s nothing but short term profits and comfort. Always has been. Stopping this would require empathy for the plight of others and sadly most humans have none.

I can easily picture this being someone’s favorite movie, but I don’t think I could watch it.

On the one hand, this seems like a very interesting concept. On the other, HOLY COW is the “less than 12 frames per second” animation distracting.

As God as my witness, I thought fish could fly.

Those faux star wars figures are just stupid garbage, who the hell would pay that much for them?

Man, she really needs to get away from her family and make some friends who appreciate her other qualities instead of pitying her lack of magic powers.

Yeah. Plus in the case of The Abyss, it's at least available on streaming services (it's free on Prime). Solaris is as well. But neither True Lies nor Strange Days are available online at all, and as you noted, the DVD releases weren't particularly great either. It's a real shame.

Yep. Not available on any streaming service (even for rent) and there's never been a US release of a Blu-ray. So I assume there's some kind of rights issue holding it back, but it's very unfortunate, because it's a great movie that will just slip further into obscurity.

That was such a great science fiction film. It's a shame it's basically fallen through the cracks these days. Can't even rent it through streaming services.

Kind of has a Strange Days vibe to it!

I for one welcome our new squirrel overlords.

Seems strange to recommend the Analogues over the other options.
