Oh man, I remember getting the mini DC and Marvel comics in my Drakes Cakes as a kid. Trying to buy more boxes to get every issue in the four-issue run before the promo ended. Last I heard, these and others were even a bit collectible.

Perhaps someone with more comic knowledge can answer this for me: Is reading The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier required to understand LXG Volume III? I personally couldn't get more than a few pages into Black Dossier without giving up.
