Very awesome article. I'm not surprised that Terry Johnson cites David Brin, since Brin also worked worked as a scientist.
It's not a habit. The fish can quit anytime they want.
Awesome, but I wish the photos were a little better.
The guy's facial hair in No. 8 is epic!
@MacGyver1138: It's probably one of my favorite bad movies. The only thing missing? The fact that Roland Emmerich didn't direct it.
It is made of Unobtainium, like in The Core?
The video was very cool, but I don't really understand the whole "it supplements its diet with human flesh" thing.
@Caw_Miller: I saw this yesterday and thought that the "concept" photo was downright terrible. (Cool product, though.)
:(
Awesome work Lamarre-Wan!
So puntastic!
@PatS: Also, La Jetée was bizarre beyond telling.
Renaissance was such a disappointment for me. The animation was so stunning that it detracted from the story. The blacks were too black, blending background and character alike, while the whites were so over-saturated that human emotion was nearly impossible. You miss so much while your eyes try to decipher the visual…
Amazamundo!
@StarkRavingMan: I forgot what we were doing Kremit.
I have such a soft spot for The Core. It's such a great, great terrible movie. Plus, 30 Seconds to Mars plays over the end credits.
@bob_d: Thanks. Didn't see Book of Eli because of the middling reviews. Any good?
I always wondered how this worked. Thanks io9! (Also, great supporting images.)
