I disagree. The sound cues are more than enough for you to know when to drop a defensive item to block an attack. You don’t need to see it, at all.

It’s not bulky. It adds the same vertical height and it protects laterally. For those that over accessorize and you don’t travel with the switch docked in it, sure it’d then be bulky. But Nintendo created a protective solution for those that don’t over accessorize. And if you love doing that, you really shouldn’t mind…
