I love the Room too as a bizarre modern artifact; very specifically strange and the product of a few unique factors that make it fascinating. It intrigues you. It’s outsider art produced by competent professional technicians with signifiers of high production value, which never happens in movies for obvious reasons.

“I like that she takes roles that are important to her, but it still feels weird seeing her pop up in what is basically a lark for her.”

The problem here is that your opinions suck. You’re entitled to them, and enjoy that, but they suck. I’m not even talking your up/ down call on Oprah as an actor, which as one isolated conclusion is fine/ who cares but also, as it turns out, stupid.

Yeah, still waiting on his apology for the hair.

Holy shit yes.

Shitty behavior is unacceptable, as is arguing anything from the premise that Dan Harmon is a “genius” of any stripe.

Well, by her way he had to publicly acknowledge that he did something wrong, had to apologize to her in front of his fanbase of MRA losers, and will have some sort of consequences which, as you know, would not have been the case if she “contacted him directly” lol.

I mean, agreed, “fuck em.” But no confronting why they’re so taken by the character and show? It isn’t exactly surprising.

I keep waiting for DJT’s personality to split so he can say one thing and then hours later roll his eyes and thumb over his shoulder about “this nut over here, ok?”

Kind of nuts that a not-insignificant portion of our populace—say, enough to elect a President—has slipped off the edge into behaving like members of a really troubling, reality-distorting cult.

When do we get an apology for the hair?

The NFL: dumber than an 80s sitcom.

I also really enjoy this theory.

Oh shit, dude, I think that might be it!

Wait how do you mean? I giggled at the image at the very least but just curious...

Oh you and me both, but that’s exactly what I mean! It happened, I’m just so curious—who is that person?

No I totally have, and that is very much a possibility for sure. I’m just going on pure numbers here and I just think the Log Cabin Republicans’ membership isn’t super big (though if I’m wrong on that I’m all ears).

Fascinated by the person who knows about Tim Gunn such that he was their choice for a goofy write-in—and doing it in this election.

I read these stories about his diet and think of how old he is and how he’s somehow still alive and it starts to give me serious anxiety that he’ll somehow never die. I really want him to die (sooner rather than later) because it will make me feel relief and joy and I fuckin’ need that.

Yeah I mean I guess its possible, but to me the “he’s mentally ill” people are, on some level, bargaining. Wanting there to be some release valve for so many in our country making that decision, something that makes it all somehow escapable.
