“You don’t think much of me, do you boy?”
“You don’t think much of me, do you boy?”
Thank you. I attend a regular literary open mic, and it’s always a downer when would-be authors use fancy words when simpler words would suffice. Simpler words both flow better and are better at conveying meaning
Very true. I’m from Inslee’s hometown. He has two problems: he gave a bunch of tax breaks to Boeing, and he’s not all that smart. It was impressive the one term he was elected as Yakima’s congressional rep, though. It’s the most conservative spot in an already ultra-conservative eastern Washington
If that’s true, then how come the Ravens got to keep the Browns’ players? This whole “name & stats stay with the old city” thing is stupid; & this is coming from a Seattleite. Baltimore got the franchise. Cleveland got an expansion team
I was hoping for a drop-kick field goal or PAT. it’s been 40 years
Everything you say is correct. There’s one other factor, though: cord cutting. I believe the owners are colluding now in part to hedge against lower cable contracts in the future. The Dodgers are both the last evil empire and the canary in the coal mine
Giving smarmy answers to random internet mailbag questions is a practice almost as old as the internet. You’re telling every other blogger on this site not named Magary that they aren’t good enough to do it for your free internet entertainment. If you don’t see the offense, I don’t know what to tell you.
You basically claimed the blog sucked. Kinda self evident
That’s pretty damn offensive. Plus, it was a good funbag
I get where you’re coming from, but this is a bad idea. It’s how people like Trump become dictators. It’s literally called “trumped up charges.”
Not really wrong, though. Opposite perspective, but similar format
bungee203 totally fits with a certain type of Seahawk die-hard: Loves Russell Wilson, but is made incomfortable by Pete Carrol (cheating at USC, 9-11 inside job) and the domestic violence 2nd chancers he's brought in. Fits perfectly at Deadspin, honestly
I’m not sure this deal will make the Dodgers worse. Even if they acquire nobody in free agency, there’s not a rotation spot for Wood. They had too many outfielders. This trade may make room for Julio Urias and Alex Verdugo to have an impact. They’re probably better than Wood and Puig/Kemp.
There are two other factors (besides DH) that have held Martinez back: 1) Longevity. He got to the majors late and didn’t put up the “traditional” HOF cumulative numbers 2) Playing in Seattle. The Mariners might well be the least successful franchise in the modern history of North American pro sports
Hooray! It was getting dreary in the commentariat. You owe us nothing, Drew, but good to see your voice.
It all goes back to Super Bowl XL against Pittsburgh. Mike Holmgren complained about the calls in that game for a solid year. Ever since, Seahawk fans have honestly believed that the refs were out to get them like they were the Raiders or something
sock it to me
Embiid thinks he “owns a lot of real estate in (Andre Drumond’s) head”
So did the moon landing happen or not? Awfully convenient for this gaffe to move us off the government conspiracy. I’m just asking questions here
Nobody else seems to get this. I’m guessing not many people have actually been there. The museum is fantastic, and does a good job of telling baseball’s story. The Hall itself is remarkably small- which rules. The two fit together perfectly
