If the door was NFC enabled, you could program your code into any of these tags if special security isn't needed, but you couldn't scan it on your phone to unlock a door AFAIK.

Not really, since they have to have a specific part of their phone within about 1cm from the puck, and it has to be on, and they would have to confirm the action in most cases. Plus, NFC tags like this won't work if placed on a metal object (which I assume turnstiles are made of).

Steel supports and high density foam mean it's heavy as hell. They don't list a weight on their website, but my foam topper for my bed weighs about 40lbs by itself, and this looks a bit thicker.
