Aluminum does oxidize (laymens term for rust), but once a thin layer of oxidization takes over, it protects the aluminum below it. Just because it doesn't oxidize the same way iron does, doesn't mean it doesn't oxidize.

Fairlady Z. To the day, I don't think any of them have been considered bad. I've owned a Z31 and a 350z, and loved every minute. If they keep going at this rate, I should be able to get a new model every five to six years. Who needs practicality?
