This...is not true. And it really does a disservice to the public to say something so stupid.

I belong to a small professional society. We have had in the past an issue with two guys who were creepers—one a gay man who thought this somehow gave him license to grab breasts, the other a guy who liked to get drunk and kiss various women who didn’t want to be kissed. So we are wary. I wasn’t there, but I found out…
You are right. At first, I did not want to do the “me too” thing because I am so TIRED of having to trot out my personal tragedies. But I think the sheer volume resulted in a lot of people are now beginning to think, “What’s wrong with our society that we have this deeply disturbing sex and power issue?””
I don’t think the point right now is necessarily to open an investigation and get reparations for victims (that’s not even what Corey is looking for, although that would be awesome), so much as to out abusers, have them removed from the positions of power they are using to have access to victims, shame them to death,…
hey, I think you’re making sense. Are you a lawyer? I only ask bc I was wondering whether, even though it didn’t warrant charges, whether the tape + corroboration was enough to launch an investigation bc of the timelines. Like, there are victims who will not get individual justice, as far as I understand, like in the…
At first I felt beat down too, but instead I’m so inspired by all of the women coming forward. Any of us who have worked in a male dominated field know that this is a huge issue, and it feels like there has been a major shift where we don’t have to take it anymore. To be honest, some of the stories have been quite…
Honestly, the fact that it’s all coming out now is a good thing. We are finally shining a light on what women have been going through for decades. The more women who come forward means that even more women are encouraged to come forward.
I’m feeling somewhat energized, to be honest. Finally, finally, something’s happened in which women feel empowered to come forward and decades of literal abuse are getting uncovered and men are finally realizing there are consequences for their actions.
As far as I understand, the only proof the Weinstein accusers had was the recording the LAPD took of him admitting to grabbing a model’s breast, and that wasn’t enough for any charges to be made.
Yes, it does reek of grooming. Just like Woody Allen and his wife’s adopted daughter. Even if “nothing happened” before she was “legal,” you don’t “fall in love” with a father-type figure you have known since childhood if the relationship was totally appropriate and normal.
I get why people are like, “ah just name names!” but that’s been a huge part of his own trauma, and we shouldn’t contribute. Imagine being 15, assaulted at gunpoint, being forced to do drugs with your BFF who will later die from complications of drug addiction, abused and tormented for YEARS around adults and kids…
Nah, he’s a guy who was raped at gunpoint at age 15 who is really fucked up about the death of his friend, who was also assaulted right next to him, and who died due to the havoc drugs wreaked on his body. Feldman takes the blame for Haim’s addiction because of said night, where both children were forced to do drugs.…
And it has nothing to do with the fact that Corey Feldman is himself an abuser who will do (and has done) literally anything to keep his place on the B-list of celebrities in Hollywood?
That’s my worry, I really hope his proposed budget includes a lot of money to get good advice from some really sharp lawyers (and that he listens to them). He might be able to do some good just by naming names (if the fallout goes right) but I’d hope he has experts who help him build a case.
I was in an abuse relationship, and the next year of my life I was mentally ill, and I couldn’t get my shit together. That was all it took to dismiss me.
I never claimed most victims do. But a victim’s story of victimization can’t be discredited by awful acts as an adult. He or she should certainly pay for any crimes they commit like anyone else.
Jesus. This poor guy. I absolutely believe him. I always have. He’s entirely bananas as well. He has some weird ideas (his Angels business is problematic).
The novel pretty much spells out what the film obliquely implied.
This was my thought. If Feldman has information or proof that could make it into a documentary, he should get a lawyer and go to the police, or a journalist. To save information that could stop a pedophile for his (10 million dollar!) documentary is criminal.
Serious investigative journalism needs to be done. I don’t have much faith in Feldman being the guy to produce it, rather than a clusterfuck.
