Unless you were to make the overarching argument that the total talent of the league is down. The opening up of the offence in conjunction with a worsening talent pool would skew your comparason.

Also you forgot one thing:

You mean like when the headline says “Conservative caught in sex sting” or “Trump supporter sends racist tweets” or maybe “Republican Senator indicted on money laundering charges”.

It would go over find with actual Indians, but not with non-Indians and people easily offended.

How is it a slur if 9/10ths of the people it’s supposed to offend don’t find it offensive? Isn’t it possible that labeling it as a slur is wrong of most of the folks it refers to don’t mind?

For a while I’ve suspected this Redskins thing might be an example of White Knightism. “Redskin” is and was a slur, and I think the name should be changed for that reason. But these results are pretty overwhelming. As a white progressive “ally,” I will defer to the actual aggrieved party. Nothing more obnoxious than

What this tells me is that the word Redskin is probably offensive in some context to a small group of really politically active people, while to most people, it is a potato or a football team.

Liz Warren was solidly in the “offended” camp.

The SEC only brings civil (or administrative) actions. Any criminal charges would come from the DOJ. But the securities laws provide both civil and criminal penalties for this kind of thing, so a civil enforcement action—like this one—doesn’t preclude the DOJ from bringing criminal charges later.

Bernie’s current strategy is to flip super delegates at the convention, convincing them to go against the winner of both the popular vote and pledged delegates...sounds oddly like what he has been complaining about the whole time

The system is rigged, we need to listen to the voice of the people, and when the voice of the people overwhelmingly votes for the other candidate, then we need the system to overturn the voice of the people because ... .... ....

I’m fine with Bernie staying in the race to accumulate votes and show Democrats that there is broad, national support for a progressive agenda. I am not alright with him staying in the race in a desperate bid to win.

I don’t get why this is supposed to paint Griffin in a bad light. He was an excellent QB on a rookie contract. That means he was more valuable than Shanahan, a protection scheme, or anything besides the franchise itself. Why shouldn’t he feel free to dictate things to an old guy who wears his phone on his belt?

Haisley doesn’t hate MLS?! You’re not from around these parts, are you?

Yes but after the cats get rid of all the pests, what’s going to take care of your cat problem? Chinese cat snakes? Ok, and what about when they’re done with the cats? A gorilla that thrives on snake meat? What are you gonna do when the gorillas are done with their job, just wait until winter when the gorillas freeze

I grew up with cats. Had three females, one of which had a litter of five. We declawed them all (mind you, rural PA, nobody gave a shit).

They’ll also still try to instinctively scratch things to sharpen the invisible claws, which is a pretty dismal sight.

Nah. If you have to choose between getting it declawed and getting rid of it, get rid of it - there is probably another potential pet owner out there who won’t mutilate the animal. (Or better yet, don’t get one in the first place)

Better solution: get a dog.

Just a note to everyone, the real #1 is ALLERGIES. They don’t mess around about any medicinal allergies, especially serious ones like penicillin.
