It’s easier to get it to level-4, which is operation within a specific Operating Domain. Put another way, Toyota is saying that commercial vehicles are more amenable to restricting their routes and locations they are deployed based on what the autonomous system can do at that time than a private vehicle is. Tesla, for…
these vehicles exist because people refuse to buy vans out of spite
Especially now with minivans getting such great fuel economy, I don’t see a reason to get this over a van, especially the PHEV pacifica.
Yeah, when I think “family car”, I think three rows. Even if you only have two kids, that’s two car seats sucking up the entire back for several years making it impossible to seat even five. Having three means that you can’t all fit in this car until two kids are in school and out of booster seats.
This is great for…
Horseshit!
It literally looks like it’s missing it’s front end clip.
In China, about 70% of the 1.2 million electric or gasoline-electric hybrid models sold over the past year went to government and company fleets,
“drastically reduce parking downtown;”
Neutral: Considering how…awful…our 4 months with the Audi etron have been, I can tell you my parents would absolutely buy a hybrid over an EV for their next normal car.
A sedan or hatchback (which she already has) is severely compromised for two kids in car seats (which she realizes). Unless you’re looking at full size sedans, which, even still, are compromised in ease of use when you’re talking about two kids. Load height, modularity, amenities, cargo space, sliding doors.
Lease one for three years and by the time that’s over, the kids will be out of the big car seats and you can go back to what you really want.
Plenty cheap enough. Usually $10-15K. It’s a really good option for this buyer. The trick will be finding one with low miles.
I had two car seats in a MKV GTI and they fitted fine. My wife is small and she sat in the front seats fine with car seats in the back. The problem is it’s tough to fit other things in the vehicle (stroller, overnight bags, etc.) if the GTI is your primary family hauler. Going a size up with the Alltrack (brand new!)…
Just buy the damn minivan. You’ll thank yourself.
Redundant theft deterrent systems spotted.
How turn your 37,000 into 15,000 in two years....what a great idea!!!!!
Twin turbo Porsche with a -FULL, UNLIMITED MILES- warranty for two years?!? Yes, please. Drive the hell out of it for the next 728 days, then dump it before the warranty runs out at Day 730.
Have fun with the <100 mile range while you’re towing.
Looks matter in every single physical thing we buy. The Cybertruck seems to have been designed with the intent to pare the shape down to the absolute minimum complexity. While it may have succeeded at that, it’s so so very ugly. It looks to me like it was designed by an untalented 12 year old.
