If fare payers won’t pay the fare to make it profitable and thus sustainable, why should taxpayers?

The US is not leaving NAFTA. Revising it? Absolutely. Both leaders in Canada and Mexico agree with that.

The federal government has the power - the jurisdiction- to stop the left-loonies in California. And the new EPA head is the perfect guy to do it.

As the British prime minister stated yesterday- the U.K. will be returning to its global trading tradition - negotiating free trade deals out side of the EU that presumably lower barriers and costs. Brexit is a very good thing

Why was this cross-posted to jalopnik?

Not good. Definitely in the bottom quartile of mustang front-ends over the years.

Trump did not go bankrupt. That is false news and you know it.

Rubbish article

20 miles a week plus assume 180 miles fir family trip every month. That’s not even 4000 miles a year.

Lol. Surely I’m not the only one who sees similarities between it and the Lexus

Hate it. Virgil Exner designed intricate front ends for Plymouth in the early sixties. They were hideous too.

Then at the very least it is a polarizing look.

I really don’t get what lexus is doing with their grilles... they seem ridiculously over wrought - ugly.

... so the states and municipalities should handle much of it and the focus should be on the actual improvements to the physical infrastructure- not making it easier for autonomous cars.

Roadside/roadbed information points will help especially in very high traffic areas. But they cannot be needed everywhere autonomous cars will be expected to travel. And this column is just jawboning for more spending on roads.

And it is fake news. You are promulgating fake news. Dan rather must be so proud.

And what about unpaved roads. In my province of Alberta alone there are 61000 km of paved roads and 164000 km that are unpaved. and what kind of detectable material are we talking about?

In ALL public roads? And keep them maintained? Year-round?

I’m looking for an autonomous car that can traverse what a typical car - a Camry would suffice - can traverse in terms of public roads. And that includes a lot of roads in poor repair.

I think it a very fair assumption that if sedans were 20% cheaper than they are currently more would be sold. And that some of those sales would come from potential CUV buyers.
