I largely agree that we need to be more open to people changing, particularly in incidences where a person has shown themselves to have seriously changed since and aren’t repeatedly, currently showing they’re the same or worse than they were, and especially if the person made the statements as a kid or even young

If you weren’t among the many bored viewers of Tiger King, it’s largely because big cats are frequently sourced from questionable keepers who don’t necessarily have the animals’ best interests in mind, even if they think they do. Plus, it’s unsafe for everyone having an unpredictable wild creature involved and not

Have you never seen a Wile E. Coyote/Roadrunner short? Or even a Ralph Wolf/Sam the sheepdog short? Those are all about rapid succession exaggerated failures to achieve a predatory goal, and the former series of shorts are some of the most beloved and acclaimed Looney Tunes shorts.

Actually, if they could somehow reinvent Pepe LePew to be more like the big bad wolf in Tex Avery’s Red Hot Riding Hood shorts - getting immediate comeuppance in cartoonishly insane ways by those he would prey on - I think they could easily reinvent his shorts for modern sensibilities whilst still having a throwback

I would certainly be more concerned about recent gaffes she’s made and the decision to promote her over more experienced people in light of her more recent behavior in regards to ethical journalism. I cannot find any evidence of LGBTQ discrimination, though I don’t doubt they exist - I just haven’t seen it.

I get their desire to do this - I really do - but in execution, it sounds a bit hamfisted. I think it might be best to actually leave the character out or in the background and make a shift in new shorts.

Oh Laika... I have such a strange relationship with them. I like Coraline, I like ParaNorman (I didn’t care for it much initially, but in retrospect that had nothing to do with the film and everything to do with where I was in my personal beliefs), and I like Kubo, but The Boxtrolls was a slog, and Missing Link left

I don’t know if I’d say Hercules was worse than Cats Don’t Dance. I’m a huge fan of the songs in Hercules, though, and while Cats Don’t Dance has some good ones, I don’t think they measure up to the gospel inspired stuff nor the criminally underrated “I Won’t Say I’m In Love.”

I remember the Spy Jam rumor! Jackie Chan would’ve potentially been a great match for the Looney Tunes, though I shudder to imagine the no doubt cringe-inducing ‘90s-era casual racism we would've likely overlooked at the time that would’ve been inserted into the movie...

I took it as a behind the scenes feature, despite the title of the episode, particularly since you not only get background but see the audience seats and lights.

Clearly if they are visiting their counterparts in the multiverse, it should be subtitled Home Away From Home.

Pff. 576p...

Come to think of it, the character was also the reverse of Kick-Ass, going by the name Ass-Kicker. ... Maybe a hint? Maybe me looking to much into that?

Evan Peters was also in the first Kick-Ass movie, but his character was recast in the second when he joined the villains.

It is what he's used to.

Never heard of it. I’ll... check it out.. maybe?

Like "Sausage Party"...?

I will have to read this later, but my initial reaction to the headline, “The Return Of The King was the last time a blockbuster could be weird, personal, and Best Picture,” immediately brought to mind another Peter Jackson-associated film nominated for Best Picture that was much less expected:

What kind of Mickey Mouse operation is this, anyway?!

Napalm?
