Hey! I know what it is. I just don't claim I've faced it!

Kill 'em with kindness?

You worked with Dogget from "Orange is the New Black?"

And now we know why Redbox still makes you agree a second time to rent a Blu-Ray and not a DVD…

Yeah, I think a lot of people running those types of screens back in the 90s were still people who were still grasping the concept of home video, kinda like how we still have people today who believe anything on the internet is true. "Yes, movie theatres can show stuff, but surely they won't show ghastly things on a

I definitely remember tracking issues and crap, though. A well taken care of disc lasts for much much longer with consistent image quality, but VHS by nature just destroys itself over time.

In a way, though, it does prove how shitty the format was.

My family called them "tape" or "video" until we switched to DVD and the big upgrading began. We were early adopters of DVD and also big time movie buyers (still are), so it wasn't uncommon for us to have this sort of exchange:

"This is what we ate back in the day if we came too late, well before they had all day breakfast!"

I remember lots of my babysitter's having the McDonald's branded copies of "Ghost," which was also probably how I saw the movie for the first time apart from airing censored on TV.

DVD has the same transfer, too, if you bought the right copy, for around a decade, though.

Ahem… male sexual assault survivor here who also took 5 years to graduate. Hi.

That is what they're located over, after all…

I actually pretty much agree with you. Some Christians even become worse versions of themselves because they feel like they now have the answers.

Yeah, you're completely on point there. I really wish I'd have been more wise about researching the church than trusting them based on the fact that they were friendly. My friend and I came from the same Christian high school that actually encouraged open, critical thinking and acceptance of disagreement, and this

Ha, yeah I'm far more likely to project awkwardness I'm feeling on someone to make them as awkward as I feel more than be offended. Honestly, his genuine curiosity was indirectly affirming, since nobody else who was willing to do be so open, and I knew he didn't mean harm by it. Strangers would obviously be different,

I dunno, actually. Don't presume too much!

As one of my more conservative but well-meaning and blatantly too curious coworkers/friends once said when he found out I was gay, "Hey, are you like… into butt stuff? I mean, no big deal if you are. I mean, if that's what you're into, that's what you're into. … Are you? It's no big deal, really…."

Well, see, that's the difference, isn't it?

Aw, c'mon. I'm not lobbying for fossil fuels, saying Trayvon Martin's death was justified, or looking at anyone's buttholes. I'd like to think I was deserving of at least a little bit more fame and adoration…
