It comes down to the whole “can we divorce the art from the artist” question. Once the art is created, the art takes on a life of its own, regardless of who created it.

Alan Wake was amazing, it even holds up today (if you can get past the hilariously awful rendered facial expressions of Wake), so if you have the time I’d recommend going through at least the first one.

Absolutely. One of the best games I’ve played this generation.

It seemed like it was quite a bit longer too; I casually strolled through both, but Foundation lasted several days, meanwhile with AWE it seemed like I was about done with it in one evening.
