My bad! Maybe it was the Alayne/Sansa chapter, I am not sure.

Yeah; he read a 'new' Euron chapter this week that turned out he had finished 15 years ago. The first chunk of chapters for TWOW were also apparently excised from the end of ADWD, so he even had a headstart on that book and took a full year off from writing it (which he later bemoaned.) I do love GRRM, but I'm amazed

Rebecca Romijn and I'm game.

There's implications he's being sodomised, that's what the actor has said, anyway. I don't know why his brief scene has annoyed anyone.

"But it’s more than a little depressing when passionate fandom and fan glorification allows anyone to become convinced that resistance to a Ghostbusters remake is a principled stand rather than sexist whining."

She was born there, yes, and quickly absconded to Essos as a baby. Her entire bloodline is Eastern, also. But hey, I'd have to see the birth certificate; if Westeros is akin to the USA at all ;)

I was disappointed that she died without getting one last dialogue scene with Rickon (I mean, reappearing and dying so quickly would be like Gendry finally rowing back into frame and being suddenly capsized and drowned by Euron Greyjoy's ship) — but! I really like how she wasn't afraid of this guy and went for the

He's infinitely worse —and more tiresome— in the books, where he's first introduced raping a girl to death (and has a whole gang of wannabe-psychopaths.) I at least enjoy Iwan's performance in the show.

"Dany is an old hand at looking imperious and demanding foreigners serve her"

I believe he's sincerely at work. Unfortunately I think his work is almost entirely comprised of overturning every single stone in Westeros.

It's not even a new tidbit: he read this sample out at a few cons years ago.

Yes, but in typical Thrones fashion many days could pass between individual scenes in one episode. Months fly by in the pilot episode alone. I always felt the season 5 finale was stretched over some (unspoken) time in the same way, probably a matter of days to a week, until Melissandre returns to the Wall.

"He got revenge for that when he killed Ygritte in season four and when Jon Snow executed Slynt in season five, though"

She's worn black since Joffrey's death… and only got back into Lannister red in episode 1 of this season. She was quickly back in black again with Myrcella's return.

They abandoned Spartacus halfway through its first season with a "screw this" and finally picked it up in the final season, exclaiming in their series finale review that "Spartacus is the show you won't believe no one told you about!"

I was so disappointed when perusing his old posts.

I did feel that giving all the Stark children supernatural abilities was a bit… unnecessary. I don't mind it really, but I like how the show has divested and focused all of this into Bran.

They're completely different breeds of dog.

Such coups have happened in our history, though the reigns of the usurpers has never lasted too long. In the ninth century Irene of Athens, who had no royal blood herself, usurped her son Constantine IV as Emperor of the Byzantine Empire: Constantine’s own people at court conspired with his mother to chase him out,

It really just means 'militant', the same way people on this site use 'MRA' to deride misogynists and Return of Kings-types, despite the fact many people advocating for men's rights can be very genuine and measured and have nothing to do with those rabid 'MRA' circles. For me it's analogous to 'keyboard commando' and
