It seems to be easier and cheaper to just buy elastic cable ties from Amazon. They sell them pretty cheap, a 10-pack for less than $7. I also don't like the idea of cutting the hook off from a bungee cord, that's what makes them so useful.

Seems like I would only do this if I had some excess or some partially damaged

Alton Brown also steams them in one of his videos. I believe he also suggested using an electric kettle at one point too.

Whatever happened to this technology?? I really like the idea of being able to listen to music or whatever, but still being able to hear all the ambient noise around me. I bough some headphone years ago and while they worked, they weren't exactly comfortable and also had to be charged pretty frequently. Are there any

I'm curious what your homemade seasoning consists of?

Where did you find that info, I was looking for it. Also Falco only seems to make longbows, which he did use a few times, but not the one he shot with for most of the video.

He looks to be using something similar to a Turkish bow. These bows were smaller and more compact, which made them easier to use in many different situations, such as running, walking, horseback and close distances. These bows were believed to be 90-160 lbs and able to shoot pretty fast. A 125+lbs bow would give you

Well now that's done hopefully they will finally get it to fully support ChromeOS.

I remember a gawker site, probably kotaku, showing "Ecstasy of Order" a documentary on people who played the original Nintendo Tetris. There was 2 ways to "beat" the game. One involved maxing out the score to 999999, I believe, at this point the game wouldn't register any more points. Another way was to get to the

KeePass 2.28

Wouldn't it be better to move on to KeePass?

The love the fact that I can use it on my Windows PC, Linux Box, Android phone and tablet, and keep a backup via USB, all without specific browsers and or plugins.

The only downside, like others have mentioned, is the lack of support for Chromebooks, but I blame Chromebooks for that. I mean they don't even have a way

How about an external battery, like this Anker. Sure to power your phone for those long flights, drives, train rides, and lines at the airport.

To me it seems to be very store dependent. For instance my local supermarket is on the list that doesn't accept payments but I have used it before, (however it's a hit or miss because half the time they don't seem to have the terminal on, at least on certain checkout lanes. I've resorted to checking out the terminals

That's funny, because in my experience it seems that NO ONE EVEN READS THE MENU!

I sometimes hate going out with people and hearing them ask things they can clearly read if they took the ten seconds to do so.

There is a phrase that has stuck with me since I've heard it.

While I've known about slurping noodles it's becoming incredibly difficult to keep track of food etiquette that vary widely by cultures. Some cultures it's frowned upon if you don't finish your plate (means the food was delicious), others it's rude to finish your plate (means your host didn't serve you enough).

That looks like an awesome flashlight. A 1000+ lumen flashlight for about $50 seems like a great deal. Close to 100 ratings with an avg of 4.5 stars out of 5. I've bought other "1000+ lumens" on Amazon and most of them don't deliver.

I though I saw somewhere that Alton Brown suggested using a steamer for hard boiled eggs too. Apparently this would give you eggs where the yolk was only one color as opposed to two when you sometimes get when you boil eggs.

That's a pretty nifty idea. The only issue I see is that it loses the "waterproof" resistance of most bike lights.
