They can keep ignoring the covid warnings & kill themselves.  How dumb can you be? I don't understand. But it's purely self imposed ignorance.  It's mind boggling the lengths these assholes go through. And they don't stop! It just doesn't stop.

Many still unfairly hold Sanders accountable for Clinton’s defeat in 2016, and his tendency to avoid certain niceties—singing the Democratic party’s praises, buttering up the press—made him an abrasive figure for some.

Pluto also has an excellent Rifftrax channel as well.

The Benoit murder-suicide made me stop watching professional wrestling for nearly 10 years (this after being a life long fan since the late 70s).  Coming just a few years after Eddie Guerrero’s untimely death, it just seemed like all the joy had been sucked out of it

Disney’s animated classic, and “Hook” are the only good movie adaptations. (Yes, Hook is GOOD dammit!) The rest are boring, pretentious, and too far from the source material to even be recognized as Peter Pan.

There’s also this product placement monstrosity -

Chipotle in adobo has helped make some mean pork tenderloin tacos.

Maybe inappropriate, yet I can’t help but think of this, and Dumbledore’s words of wisdom to Harry: “This mirror gives us neither knowledge or truth.  Men have wasted away in front of it, even gone mad.”

Counterpoint: Ignatius J. Reilly in “ A Confederacy of Dunces.” Absolutely loathsome. People argue “he’s written that way on purpose!” but it just makes an absolutely insufferable slog of a novel that doesn’t deserve the praise it gets.

Grapes of Wrath and Catcher in the Rye stand out as two assigned readings where I struggled to understand what all the fuss was about.

It’s nice to see that the ire for Scarlet Letter persists, that thing sucks so much. But Moby Dick? That’s good shit right there, people just get intimidated by the length.

Moby Dick is frickin’ great.  People are so weird about books.

Is his whole campaign some sort of comedic bit or maybe an abstract dadaist performative art piece? Maybe a combo and he's actually Andy Kaufman?

Dammit, you chucklefuck, your intentions were perfectly clear. You wanted to hurt and embarrass a total stranger because some stray gross impulse darted across your lizard brain and being a white male, you never even thought to resist or question it. You honestly expected her to find that funny or at least “laugh it

“Tommy is a loving husband and father.”

Yeah, I imagine most Star Wars fans who aren’t gigantic assholes can dredge up some sympathy for Best and be sincerely curious about what he’s up to. Everybody knows Jar-Jar is terrible. We’ve had 20 years to parse our feelings on this.

William Shakespeare’s Star Wars is worth a read just for its take on Jar Jar as a savvy political activist whose attempt at straightforward reforms got him banished, so now he acts like an idiot to trick other people into doing what he wants, like making peace between the Gungans and Naboo.

I disagree though: some episodes I actually felt the old magic. “Mac and Me” in particular was:

That’s OK.  I can still get rice and chicken from Juan.
