@Shawnrw222: Judgement can't make something "not" something, it can only make it bad or unsuccessful.
@ghost4: Well, they should, if it's a serious discussion of the game's merit as a creative work.
@Ajh: Yup Yup. Got all that stuff. It's a bit different too, than what I'm talking about so I wasn't thinking about it before. I always played them real time though, enjoyed them more that way.
@Ajh: I love all those games. I've played pretty much every one related to them, from icewind dale to planescape (the best).
@jp182: Even then, the song was ironic.
I really like small party turn based strategy, but the generic JRPG aesthetic is starting to grate on me. Does anyone know about any games that have good little group gameplay but without the tired plotlines, bad voice acting, and big eyes small mouth faces?

I mean, after playing Hulk: Ultimate Destruction all weekend, then hitting this demo up this week... I know they are very…
@The Forgetful Brain: I tend to wait and buy a lot of titles used, since I know I'm going to have to pay 15-20 bucks on DLC, which brings it back up to 60 bucks. Feels a little weird, I'd rather be sending that whole amount to a game maker through some direct download system or something, but I can't afford to spend…
@Hengst2404: I was having fun getting into it at first as well, but playing it with my girl won me over once we figured out how to guess which user made maps were good by ratings. Some of them really are pretty amazing, though they tend to be short.
I've finally decided to start working my way through xenosaga in one go, since I've got a backwards compatible ps3 now and can play all my ps2 games. I have to say, some looked like crud (been playing ratchet and clank, still great to play, but looks horrible now) but xenosaga still looks pretty great, anime…
