Your reaction is your reaction, but that interpretation is *whoosh*.

DiCaprio wasn’t overracting in The Revenant. I agree that it’s not in his top five, he’s still great in it and meets the assignment/moment.

Yea “Adaptation.” is also clearly a classic and she’s immense in it.

Fury Road wasn’t just nominated for Oscars, it won several.

Both National albums were great. So was Continue as a Guest.

Animal Collective’s “Isn’t It Now?” was one of the year’s best albums. Yves Tumor’s album is missed, as are both National releases. Still, a lot of good stuff here.

This novel’s plot is very conducive to a film adaptation, IMO. More so than other DeLillo novels like “Libra” or “Underworld” that play around with plot structure. “White Noise” has a straightforward series of events and plot escalation.

Yeah the cast overall were strong. DuBose, Faist, Zegler, Alvarez, all excellent performances.

It is a genuinely tough drama, but ultimately it’s a hopeful and life-affirming story in the end.

Yep, surprised that didn’t make it. Monster’s Ball should also be in the conversation.

Yep. That and Black Hawk Down should be on this list.

Nah, that’s the right location for it.

When Greta Gerwig was making “Lady Bird,” many people wondered if the acclaimed actor could make the switch to filmmaking. “Lady Bird” was one of the year’s best films.

Classic album, but the 14-minute closer is always kind of intimidating.

Somehow sense they’ll change up the ending a bit.

She may not be up on the latest hip-hop stars, but Harris clearly meant Kanye with the “stay in their lane” bit.

“as if that means she’s not a real daughter or a real sister...”

I thought Radha Mitchell was great in it, as was Chiwetal Ejiofor.

Fair enough.

Now it’s an hour later and I accept your concession.
