I’m kinda surprised that so few here have faith in Spielberg to deliver a quality product. He’s elevated mediocre books before.

How about we see the movie before deciding its worth?
He said a while back he excised all references to his own movies.
“No one has ever been named McLovin!” is actually my fave line involving that character.
Between this movie and Twin Peaks, he’s the most active 90 year-old in Hollywood.
Every other Aronofsky movie has been great, and this release is on the right side of the pattern. I’m looking forward to it.
But it’s an imaginative and memorable one!
Great interview, great actress. I’m most familiar with her from E.T. (no big surprise), and the moment I always think of takes place in the final scene of the movie. Mary, upon seeing Elliot and E.T. embrace one last time, drops to her knees. That moment is, I believe, the part that makes everyone choke up. While…
Yeah, that’s a different Spielberg heroine in that classic.
I hope he’s dead. Guy was the worst.
“This has been the best worst day of my life.”
I do wish we could get a scene between Dern and Watts, but that may not be in the cards.
Most of the violent events are directly related to Mr. C’s machinations, though. Can’t blame Vegas for that.

I expected them to go out violently, but not in such an ironic and seemingly random manner! Mr. C is going to be furious when he finds out how fate…
Richard was our gateway into understanding the drug ring problem in Twin Peaks. Also I think we’ll get more explanation of Audrey’s current situation in the next episode; I’m guessing Mr. C’s interactions with her have a lot to do with wherever she is and whatever is happening to her.
Actually surprised we got Audrey’s dance. It was fan service and it was brilliant.
I feel the exact opposite about Poltergeist. Feels like a Spielberg film to me.
There are several characters from Twin Peaks that could’ve showed up here.
I’m not sure this one is actually overlooked in reference to Nolan’s later films. In fact, I hear more often that people feel this is still one of his best. It’s a powerful film, to be sure, but I think Nolan’s best work was yet to come.
