Really looking forward to these. Thus far, I have not enjoyed the two latest Escalations as much as I thought I would. And I know the Paris map like the back of my hand at this point. Hoping the Elusive contracts are a lot more fun.

While I see the merit in what you are saying about there being a dearth of features for the launch, it makes absolutely no difference to somebody like me. I loathe having to “unlock” character via a single player progression. That is an antiquated practice that should never be applicable to fighting games.

Wasn’t all this true with New Vegas? The survivalist perk allowed you to craft ammo, and depending on your other SPECIAL abilities or attributes, you could craft chems, gear, weapons, etc. Is this somehow different? Junk was used for crafting those as well.

You mention Eternal Darkness is not scary anymore yet you list Fatal Frame 2, a game from the same console era in your list? This doesn’t make sense to me. Is there a specific reason for this? Fatal Frame is only enjoyable through the same lenses of nostalgia if you ask me. How did you make that distinction?

How is the network stability? Do you play with pad or stick? I thought retailers were supposed to give out codes for the beta on console, but I never got one and I pre-ordered a while ago. =(
