The women with white faces are the ones whose arc I actually remember well. I can only half-remember what the hook-handed man ends up doing.

Book 7 is a big turning point both tonally (it gets darker, but also changes what kind of darkness it presents) and plot-wise (after the end of 7, the main problem/situation the Baudelaires are dealing with is significantly different.)
no, you're right. It was really, really shitty.
…you think trilogy of terror is an example of a good horror movie…?
Unexpected, but I also wish there were more roles for older, noncute actresses on TV. When I saw promo stills for the show I laughed out loud at YS as Serena Joy—like oh, at least they made her hot! Wouldn't want a not-hot woman in the cast!
I also have no idea and only got vague impressions of cannibalism. I tried googling and got nothing, so I'm going to assume Drew gets a taste for human flesh, discovers it really blasts that stubborn belly fat, and starts selling toddler blood to moms.
I honestly don't know enough about the history of ECT to say that it has *always* been safe and effective, though I imagine the bad side of it has always been exaggerated in media. It's possible it was really bad in the past, but I know from personal experience and the experience of friends that it's not much worse…
Electroshock is a safe, effective, and incredibly important treatment for many people suffering from bipolar disorder, depression, and other mental illnesses. It's not a "horrific treatment path."
I'm still stuck seeing him as being Bright from Everwood, who in fairness could have pretty easily grown up to be Andy.
The show gets a lot better after the first episode or two, in large part because the characters get more specific/differentiated and not just genetically awful.
There's more of him, but he's also ultimately awful.
He's terrible, but enabled one of my favorite micro-acting-moments (I'm hungover and don't know words) of the year (Portia when she realizes he's going to learn absolutely nothing and not face any real consequences after his ruse is up) so I give him one star/5.
The kitchen OD was super ludicrous. There's no way scopalamine would have that effect that quickly, among other things, and it would have made a lot more sense to just call the cops and tell them the girl brought the drugs, though I guess that would have scared Nadine off.
ETA also why did the girl snort random powder…
I get the feeling no one writing has met a teenager in the last ten years
You're not missing a hell of a lot. That's one nice (?) thing about influential shitstains: other people have emulated them often enough that the original just isn't that revelatory anymore.
honey no
and, of course, cock.
"Marguerite" is French for daisy. It's not an uncommon nickname for Margaret, though it's kinda old-fashioned (much like "Margaret" itself.)
Daisy, actually.
