“... of this recalled videogames’ earlier advertorial and critical periods that stressed difficulty and presented the medium as an exclusive club, where entry was dependent upon performative abilities. Implicitly and explicitly, this was a boys’ club.”

Not going to lie, I wouldn’t mind having two or three of those...

The question I would like to see answered, that no one seems to be asking:
If Steam isn’t interesting in curating these sex games, or these Visual Novel games with adult content... which service or services will step up to the plate? Because as an adult consumer, that is where my focus would like to be. If I know Steam

Wang Rong Rollin did it better:

The cancelling of a studio that was announced 0n Twitter before it was announced to the employees...

This whole thing was a clusterfuck. The demo came out, but you had to be registered on the Alienware website in order to get one, and by the time I got off of work they were out of keys (unless you were really high status on this website; they reserved keys for their higher tier members.) Then it turned out that,

Welcome to Disgaea. Are you a Demoflat or a Rebooblican? It’s okay, all those children are hundreds of years in age, so lusting after them is okay, unlike 3D children, who are not hundreds of years in age.

I’m slightly more partial to their song “My Copycat” but a Catallena is fine too. Rather sad to hear that the group has disbanded, without a sendoff or an official farewell at that.

It’s always refreshing when a Union attempts to bully its employer(s) and loses. Especially surprising, given how French courts (and Europe in general) almost always side with Unions.

I am rather surprised that destroying personal property doesn’t have legal repercussions at matches like this. Hell, if this were an actual sports game, the player in question would at the very least receive a fine.

So they took Tim Roger’s advice? Nice!

That Romeo + Juliet reference tho.

I mean, there were other references, et al, but don’t think I didn’t catch that one you sly Kpop music video.

Oh snap!

(Please take me out of the grays)

The sad thing (to me) is that a lot of this controversy would be resolved if games were forced to publish the chances a player has of getting an item/character/skin, in much the same way the chances of winning the lottery and its prizes can easily be found in the rules. People who wanted to take the gamble then could,

Why are we sharing a story about an individual who clearly needs help due to the belief they need to take their life, and also aren’t a public figure? Why is Kotaku okay with this kind of shaming?

Hiatus x Hiatus, living up to it’s name... again...

If it hadn’t been for Deviljho,
I’d’ve been married a long time ago.
Where did you come from? Where did you go?
Where did you come from Devilhjo?

The mobile version suffered from horrible load times as the game insisted on downloading different areas of the game over and over again, ensuring the game couldn’t be played offline. Can anyone please confirm that’s not the case with the Steam version?

Fined? FINED?! No jail time, no registry, just a fine he could probably pay comfortably in a month, that’s it? This individual was found with a significant amount of videos of children in various stages of undress and the courts decide “Hey, this guy needs a small fine, that should deter him?”

What the everloving FUCK?!

So in Philly, I can drink until I’m intoxicated, potentially kill myself or another person, and then the police can pull me over and I can not tell them who I am... and I could not be expected to post bail? That’s just reckless and wrong. If someone can’t post bail, maybe they should refrain from doing the crimes that
