(Not my story. Also very NSFW.)
tl;dr This is what older people think about your music.
(For all possible values of “people” and “your.”)
Nebula goes to get the soul stone and sacrifices herself for her sister.
My only real objection was that the post-“stand up” scenes were somewhat underwhelming in comparison to the buildup. I was quite happy that we didn’t get a giant CGI battle finale, but I just didn’t feel as much emotional weight at the end.
It’s even garbage as libertarian philosophy, because part of that doctrine is that one doesn’t impose their choices on others. But that’s exactly what not vaccinating, and thus destroying herd immunity, does. Rand is (as usual) very, very confused.
10/10 stuck the landing.
I can’t believe there’s a missing word in the final sentence — talk about a failure to stick the landing — and it could stand to be a good deal shorter, but if Drew was still doing the poop stories I probably would.
But yeah...I’d so successfully put the ordeal out of my mind that it didn’t even occur to me back when…
This story is both graphic and Magary-esque. Those of you who know what I’m talking about have been warned.
I was on a jury for a case involving the sexual assault of an infant. The — I don’t recall her title, but something like Chief of Child Sexual Assault Investigation or some other “no way in hell could I ever do that job” title for Mass General — sat on the stand and cried, largely uncontrollably, for a good twenty…
Shadow vessel, Babylon 5. A genuine “what the F is that?” moment.
Let’s just pause to appreciate that, though online/social media teams trend oh so painfully young, they had the savvy to do this very, very solid work.
For all the stick Johansson gets regarding her acting w/r/t Widow, she absolutely nails two things in Winter Solider: 1) hyper-competency in spycraft and deceit, both necessary counterbalances to Cap’s moral center that she repeatedly deploys in just the right tone and expression, but also (and perhaps more…
It’s not so much what he says — it’s probably true that any savvy tape nerd who does their homework will see the same things he does — it’s that he says them. And not just that he says them, but he manages to get them out of his brain, through his mouth in a coherent(-enough) way, and onto the airwaves in the very smal…
Remember what happened to Serena Williams. Serena Williams, FFS! If they won’t listen to her in the same situation, you can sadly be damned sure they’re not gonna even acknowledge someone else.
Crickets are super easy and definitely the gateway bug. Walking around Thailand snacking on bags of fried crickets (loaded up with salt and chiles) is something anyone who likes crunchy/salty/spicy things could handle. Ants are pretty easy as well. Ant egg curry is delicious.
But the “grind it up first” sentiment…
Drew Brees is FUN. Even when he plays poorly, he makes sure to commit at least two wildly entertaining turnovers in the effort. That’s how much he cares about YOU, the viewer at home.
As a Minnesotan who watched, and then “rooted” “for” this exact sort of thing, you should be deeply ashamed at the awfulness of this…
Elves at Helm’s Deep are a classic example of how what seems like a fairly simple but fundamental change ends up deforming everything downstream...even when the original change is undone.
The writers’ idea was to find ways to include Arwen in the plot that would keep her romance with Aragorn front and center in…
To me, this indicates that it’s happening. Because he’s thought through it and how he’ll have to play it.
A few days’ pondering later, I wonder if he’s actually sacrificing Tony Stark after all.
He swore that he wouldn’t give up the stone to save Tony’s life. Even in such dire straits it would make sense for Strange (as we’ve seen him characterized in this film) to hold to his word: no matter the cost, save the stone. He…
