Reading this article now, in the light of Microsoft’s closure of Project Spark, really highlights what a special thing they had, and how much it’s going to hurt a lot of people when they fully shut it down. Even that approach, while great in theory, can lead to some practical issues. If one employee is spending a lot of time at the office, it can very easily lead to a social pressure situation where everyone else feels compelled to show that they’re putting in the same amount of effort, you know?

Even if the population of intelligent people was greater it wouldn't mean that the world would be a better place. An intelligent person isn't more inclined to be altruistic. There are plenty of intelligent people who are petty and biased little turds out to get what they want at the expense of others.
